Council Chamber
Steeped in history, this Victorian room with its marble columns, large windows and portrait lined walls, provides a timeless setting for your event.
Framed by four marble columns, the stage provides a striking focal point for your event, making it an ideal setting for conferences, social occasions, private functions, wedding receptions, and entertainment events.
This spacious room lends itself to many different layouts meaning that the Chamber can be arranged to suit you.
Capacity: Up to 200 people

Formally a library, mayoral function room and Town Clerk’s office, this grand setting provides a flexible space suitable for exhibitions, functions and meetings.
Located on the first floor, the Gallery can be hired alongside the Council Chamber to accommodate larger events, or to provide you with extra space to fulfil your needs, whether that involves having separate areas for refreshments, displays or entertainment.
Capacity: Up to 150 people
Pickwick Room
The Pickwick room is a flexible space, which can be adapted to accommodate meetings, small conferences, temporary office space or the layout of your choice.
Additional space is available in the attached Reading Room, which is ideal for a breakout area or private meeting space.
